In a press conference today, KFC announced it will no longer sell fried chicken. The decision was voted on by the KFC board of directors who feel the menu item is perpetuating racial stereotypes.
"We feel our brand has a responsibility to help end racial stereotypes. Removing fried chicken imagery in ads and on our menu is one way we can contribute." - KFC CEO, Roger Eaton
This comes just weeks after Cracker Barrell inadvertently removed the wrong word from their logo causing a backlash in the container community.
